The Chelsea fans were celebrating in the Transfer Tavern last night after securing their place in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
Chelsea entertained Bournemouth at Stamford bridge last night in a game which simmered for 90 minutes, before boiling over late on to end with a dramatic frenzy that delighted the resident Blues in the tavern. Antonio Conte’s side took an early lead in the game after just 13 minutes following a beautifully crafted goal involving Kenedy and Fabregas, before Willian tapped home into an empty Bournemouth goal.
Both sides had chances to score throughout the game, but the score remained at 1 nil until the 90th minute when Dan Gosling curled home a delightful strike from the edge of the area to send the travelling Cherries supporters into raptures, however, their jubilation was short-lived.
Directly from kick-off, The Blues carved open the Bournemouth defence to put Alvaro Morata through on goal and the Spaniard made no mistake in poking the ball through the legs of the onrushing Artur Boruc.
Morata’s finish capped off a positive night for Chelsea, and it was particularly positive for their youngster Ethan Ampadu, who made only his second start for the first-team since joining from Exeter City last summer.
Ampadu played in a back-three alongside Gary Cahil and Anthony Rudiger, and his performance certainly caught the attention of the Pensioners on Twitter.
Here’s what the Chelsea supporters had to say about Ampandu’s performance…
Ethan Ampadu has been Chelsea's best player by a decent margin so far tonight. What a talent he looks

Hi is confident and solid, but he still has a lot to learn.

Ethan Ampadu can't even order a pint in a pub, yet it only took him 90 seconds to bully one of the Premier League's all-time top goal-scorers off the pitch. I love this game.

Was very concerned when Ampadu picked up such an early yellow in this game, and feared for his evening. But he's put barely a foot wrong since. Saved Chelsea a couple of times too. Impressive performance.
