Here in the Football Transfer Tavern Manchester United fans have reacted with joy at the news from Caught Offside that a move for PSV Eindhoven’s Kevin Strootman is nearly complete after Sky Bet suspended betting on the deal taking place.
The publication report that betting has been suspended on the player making a move to Old Trafford and it seems that the deal could be announced imminently.
The talented young player has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and ironically enough, it was with Manchester United and Everton – and as we all know former Toffees boss David Moyes is now in charge at Old Trafford, making it little shock that a move has been maintained.
Such is the skill and talent of the player, his own boss at PSV claimed that “For PSV it would be good if he stays, but for Strootman himself it’s better to leave.
“He’s the reserve captain of the Dutch national squad and PSV will make another step next season.
“This guy fits everywhere. He’s a fantastic player because he knows exactly what his qualities are.”
PSV have again been beaten to the league title by rivals Ajax, making it no surprise that the player is looking for a move to further enhance his career.
Is Strootman the player that United need this summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
