Long-term Arsenal target, Yann M’Vila, has admitted that a move to the Emirates Stadium is something which could interest him.
According to the Daily Mail, the 21-year-old France international has finally admitted his desire to move on and hinted that Arsenal may be his preferred option.
He told Canal+: “Inter, Arsenal, Real Madrid…I will take the fun everywhere. Those are great clubs.
“If a coach calls you and tells you he wants you to make you play, especially a French coach, it changes everything. The important thing for me is getting playing time for the France team.”
The Rennes midfielder has been coveted by many of Europe’s top clubs, with Manchester United and Arsenal keeping close tabs on him as both teams look to boost their engine room.
M’Vila is noted for his incredible physical prowess. His box-to-box running is a problem for any team he faces. That does not mean he can’t play though. The Frenchman is technically astute and very intelligent for someone so young. His bursts from midfield, make hi hard to pick up and his ball-winning ability made him an automatic pick for France, when he was only 20.
It is thought that several clubs will be chasing him in the summer, and Rennes manager, Frederic Antonetti, accepted that his star player is likely to leave.
He said las month: “Yann M’Vila won’t be a Stade Rennais player next season.”
It is an exciting time for Arsenal fans, with Arsene Wenger wanting to avoid a repeat of last summer, when he had to bring in several players last minute.
This time, the Arsenal boss is looking to wrap and transfer deals up early, having already agreed a deal in principal for German striker Lukas Podolski. The gunners have also been linked with Blackburn pair Steven N’Zonzi and Junior Hiolett in recent weeks.
