Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern will be celebrating after they were officially crowned Premier League Champions for the third time on Sunday and will be delighted with the club’s aims moving forward.
Pep Guardiola had a difficult spell in charge of the Etihad Stadium outfit last season, however, he managed to turn things around and they ran away with the title during the campaign this year after spending big to improve his squad.
The Spaniard is looking to make history by making his side become the first team to retain the title since 2009, and it is believed he will be backed in the transfer market once again by his owners.
The Daily Mail are claiming Guardiola will spend in excess of £100million once again as he looks to fine-tune his squad, although having built one with a young average age, as he is interested in adding another defender.
The Citizens will also be looking at trying to win the Champions League, however, he will need to win one major trophy if he is to remain in England for a long time to come.
The Manchester City fans in the Tavern will be hoping they can add more superstars to their team and become the first club since Manchester United to retain the Premier League title, however, a number of punters will want Guardiola can bring the Champions League trophy to the Etihad Stadium in the very near future.
