The Daily Mirror are reporting that Blackburn Rovers are going to make a January swoop for Saint Etienne’s 20 year old French under-21 midfielder Amine Linganzi following the success they had with the signing of Steven N’zonzi from the French market this summer.
Algerian-born Linganzi, who stands at 6’1”, has made a few appearances for Saint Etienne but has yet to become a first team regular and wants to move on because he feels like he’s ready for first team football despite his young age.
This has caught the attention of Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce who sees the potential move as a bargain waiting to happen. Allardyce will be happy to move for relatively unproven French players given the success of summer signing Steven N’zonzi from Amiens who has been one of Blackburn’s better players during the current campaign.
Allardyce believes there’s a good place for tall French midfielders in the Premiership and is eager to make Linganzi the second one on his books.
[Is there any substance to this and should this rumour Fly or Die?]
