For the Elland Road faithful, one of the things they pride themselves on is their incredible record with youth development. The Yorkshire club has seen the likes of Lewis Cook, Sam Byram, Tom Cairney, Fabian Delph and James Milner all go on to make a name for themselves as top players in the Championship and the Premier League over the last few years.
The club’s new deal to open training centres in China could see them benefit in years to come, as football grows in China with the Chinese Super League continuing to grow. The growing market in Asia is a smart market for Paul Heckingbottom’s side to tap into as they look to recruit the latest prodigy’s from one of the fastest growing football nations. If Leeds can also get out of the Championship and into the Premier League in the future the investment could also see them prosper around the world.
