The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting nothing but a win against Newcastle this weekend. The Gunners have had a mixed season so far, and over the last few weeks, they have struggled to maintain any form of consistency in the Premier League. In particular, they’ve lacked that attacking edge that has so often separated them from other teams in the past, with a lack of in-form attacking options proving problematic for Arsene Wenger.
Unfortunately for Arsene Wenger, though, he has suffered another attacking blow ahead of this weekend’s clash with Newcastle. As per Wenger, and via fitness expert Ben Dinnery on Twitter, the Frenchman has revealed another blow for Theo Walcott – who has now been ruled out of Arsenal’s upcoming game with the Magpies.
Walcott will be missing again……
Ruled out through illness recently, followed by a calf issue, now a groin injury apparently…… #AFC

As Dinnery points out, it’s the latest in a long line of problems for Walcott, who has struggled to get much of a foot in the door in the Premier League this season.
It’s a shame, too, given that there are a few openings for the Englishman at present. Able to play both out wide and through the middle, neither Arsenal’s wingers or strikers are doing much of anything at the moment, and so Walcott may well have got an opportunity to impress.
Alas, he instead looks set to spend another weekend in the recovery room.
It’s certainly a case of what could have been with regards to Walcott, with the forward unable to make the impact expected of him every single season.
His time at Arsenal could be coming to an end, and these injuries are only going to make his inevitable departure come sooner.
Wenger will have to rely on a few of his out-of-form yet available players instead.
