Bolton after £1.5m non-scoring, second-tier striker

Trotters boss, Owen Coyle is after Slovenian international striker Zlatko Dedic, who currently plays for Bundesliga 2. side, VFL Bochum.

The 26-year old, who has only scored twice in the German second division all season, more likely caught the eye of Coyle both over the course of the World Cup and in scoring the goal that got Slovenia to the World Cup in the play-off against Russia.

However, Bolton are not the only team interested in the Slovenian, who scored five goals in the top-flight last year, as Sven Goran Eriksson is interested at Leicester City.

According to the German press, Bochum have admitted that; “If Zlatko wants to leave, we must find a solution. A seven-figure transfer fee would be a dream!”

However, the competition between the two sides may well push the transfer fee up near the £1.5m marker.

If your a Bolton or Leicester fan though, there is an upside, you’ll get to see Zlatko’s other half Melissa in the stand:
