Bolton Wanderers eyeing up Manchester United legend as club’s new boss

Ryan GiggsManchester United great Ryan Giggs has emerged as a serious candidate to fill the managerial vacancy at Sky Bet League One outfit Bolton Wanderers, according to The Metro.

Bolton were relegated from the Championship last season and have now identified the Manchester United coach as the man to lead the club back into the second tier.

Giggs was expected to stay at Old Trafford, although he is now seemingly ready to end his 29-year association with the Red Devils and take on a role elsewhere, with the chance to jump straight into management appealing to the Welshman.

One Manchester United supporter here in the Transfer Tavern has overheard the landlord talking about this news and he thinks any club who takes on Giggs are taking a massive risk, given his lack of managerial experience.

He does however concede that Giggs is a decent coach and with the right people around him he might surprise a few people at Bolton.

Manchester United fans, will you be sad to see the back of Giggs? What is your favourite memory of Giggs in a Manchester United shirt?
