Boost for Manchester United as Italian giants target Pedro

pedro.jpgThe Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have finally stopped going on about Sunday’s win over Queens Park Rangers.

Getting so excited about a win against a recently promoted side shows how far from they have fallen but Louis van Gaal will no doubt get them back to their best.

But to do that they will need to keep their key players and the Red Devils have been given a boost with talkSPORT claiming Juventus are no longer planning a raid for Red Devils schemer Juan Mata.

The Spanish midfielder has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford following the arrivals of Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao this summer.

However, it seems that Juventus are no longer interested in bringing him to Turin as they are now interested in former Liverpool target Pedro instead.

The 27-year-old is yet to play 90 minutes for Barcelona this summer and will find first team football even tougher to find when Luis Suarez’s ban ends.

He fears being made a luxury substitute at the Catalan club and would be interested in joining the Italian giants in January if a price could be negotiated.
