Boost for Mourinho as club green-light deal for €55m-rated target

The Manchester United fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are growing tired of coming into the bar day-after-day with no new announcements on arrivals at Old Trafford.

However, there is encouraging news for our resident Red Devils today with reports from Italy suggesting their getting closer to a second deal of the summer window, having already announced Victor Lindelof from Benfica.

According to Sky Italia, United are ready to go back in for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic and that the Italian giants are ready to cash in on the offer from Manchester.

While there is no expectation that the powers that be at Old Trafford will be meeting the €55m valuation for the former Wolfsburg man, it is understood that the two clubs will come to an agreement sooner rather than later.

It has continually been reported that the winger is desperate to work under United boss Jose Mourinho and our landlord reckons that, given his desire to make the move, those at the San Siro will not be able to stand in his way.
