Spanish outlet Fichajes claim that Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus is keen to reunite with former boss Jurgen Klopp, putting Liverpool in pole position to sign the German international.
Klopp signed Reus for Dortmund in 2012 and he has gone on to be a major hit for the Bundesliga giants and Liverpool have been long-term admirers, according to The Daily Express.
Securing a deal for Reus would be a major signal of intent from Klopp and the Liverpool hierarchy, as the 26-year-old is widely considered to be one of the best players in the world outside of those from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Despite the positive reports, the more down-to-earth Liverpool fans at the bar don’t believe a move for Reus is possible due to the vast interest in the player from top-sides across Europe.
