Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has refused to rule out a summer move for Chelsea’s legendary defender John Terry after stating that the veteran’s age is ‘not a barrier’.
Terry’s departure from Stamford Bridge will become a reality at the end of the season ending the central defender’s 17-year professional association with the club he has won 14 major titles with.
The Cherries supporters here in the Transfer Tavern would relish seeing Terry in action for their club next season and according to the Bournemouth Echo, his age might not deter boss Howe from making his move during the summer transfer window.
Howe told the publication: “Age is not a barrier for me. I always look at the player and not his age. That doesn’t mean I am ruling it in or out. We have signed some experienced players in the past and they have done really well for us.
“It always about the player and the character and for me I believe Terry can still be successful in the Premier League.”
