Bournemouth have made a real go of things since coming into the Premier League, and Eddie Howe deserves a whole lot of credit for how he has got the Cherries moving along.
Some big money signings last summer enhanced the squad somewhat, and they now look a genuine force to be reckoned with in the top flight under their young ambitious manager.
Our landlord here in the Tavern loves having the Bournemouth fans in over the summer, and this week they have been coming in their droves. Chat over by the pool table has been in good spirits, and one hot topic of conversation has been who the club might sign this summer.
Despite the impending capture of Jermaine Defoe, our landlord thinks the Cherries should look to make a move for Everton and England starlet Ademola Lookman.
The former Charlton man made a big impact towards the end of last season, scoring at Goodison Park and endearing himself to the Toffees fans with his exciting cameo appearances.
Everton might well fancy keeping hold of him, but if he is allowed to leave to develop, then Bournemouth could be the ideal destination.
The chance to learn off someone like Defoe, as well as adding his pace to the likes of Callum Wilson and Benik Afobe, would give Bournemouth some serious threat going forward.
It’s certainly an interesting proposal though this one, and Lookman would surely flourish under Howe.
