Bournemouth career over? The Cherries player most likely to be sold by Eddie Howe this summer

Bournemouth cannot quite be sure of Premier League survival as yet, sitting just five points above the drop zone heading into this weekend’s fixture with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

The Cherries have been one of the surprise packages of the top flight over the last few seasons, and manager Eddie Howe deserves plenty of credit for the job he has done, keeping them up with relative ease and having some big wins along the way.

Here in the Transfer Tavern, our landlord is a big fan of having a good chat with the Cherries fans, and this week has seen plenty of them come in from the cold for a few beers in front of our warm fire.

A lot of the chat this week has been about the summer transfer window, and who the club might look to move in and out of the club during the busiest time of the year for many clubs in the English game.

One such player who looks a sure thing to be on his way is striker Benik Afobe, who has already made a temporary move away from the club in January, rejoining old club Wolves until the end of the season.

If Afobe can hit his stride with the Championship leaders, there’s every chance that manager Nuno Santo will want to snap him up on a permanent deal and add some experience and goals to what is already an exciting team going forward.

Afobe has not had much of a chance with Bournemouth in the main, and a move away from the Cherries in the summer could well give him a chance to rejuvenate his fledgling career.

Bournemouth fans, what do you think? Good to move him on? Let us know in the comments!
