Bournemouth eye move for Serie A keeper

Millwall v AFC Bournemouth - Sky Bet Football League ChampionshipThe Bournemouth fans are gathered around the jukebox in The Transfer Tavern discussing reports of the club are to make a move for a new goalkeeper.

HITC is reporting via Tuttomercatoweb that the Premier League side are considering a move for Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Sportiello.

The 23-year-old is being lined up for a possible move as the club look set to replace current number Artur Boruc, who at 35 is nearing the end of his top flight career.

Atalanta will try everything they can to keep their number one, who has been vital in their rise up the Serie A table- which sees the side sitting in eighth position and fighting for a place in Europe.

It is reported that, should the Italian side decide to cash in on the keeper, that he would cost Bournemouth £7 million.

Capped at Under 21 level for Italy, the youngster has spent his whole career with Atalanta but he may just be tempted by a move to the Premier League as he looks to better his career.

Bournemouth fans in The Transfer Tavern are delighted that the club are looking at getting a younger keeper in at the club, but also think that Boruc still has a lot to offer the side.
