There’s a big season ahead for Bournemouth down on the South Coast, as Eddie Howe aims to keep his side in the division for yet another year.
The Cherries have been very good competition so far and have more than deserved to keep their place in the division but it’s going to be another tough league next time out and Howe has plenty of work to do this summer to make sure his players are ready in time.
Of course, adding to his squad will be of huge importance and he’s started on that foot pretty well, adding former striker Jermaine Defoe to his ranks for Sunderland early this week.
But Howe has been given a huge transfer boost today after learning that Dan Gosling has signed a new four-year deal at the Vitality Stadium.
The Devon-born midfielder has shone on the South Coast having made the move in 2015 and he’s a player that has certainly stepped up to the plate when Bournemouth have needed him most.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Gosling said he was delighted with how his move has gone down so far.
“In that time we have gained promotion and spent two years in the Premier League, so it couldn’t have gone any better.
“My goal now is to be a mainstay in the side and keep adding to my game,” he told AFCB.co.uk.
After leaving Everton, Gosling moved to Newcastle United before making the switch down to the South Coast in 2015.
