The Bournemouth fan contingent here in the Tavern have been excited by a report by Sky Sports which indicates that their club are demonstrating a strong interest in Oliver Norwood.
The midfielder, currently plying his trade for Reading, has enjoyed an impressive season in the Championship and Bournemouth are reportedly looking to make a move this summer.
The 25-year-old has made 48 appearances this season, accumulating three goals and eight assists for his club this season.
Northern Ireland international Norwood joined Reading back in 2014 from Huddersfield and our landlord believes that he would be a useful addition to the Bournemouth squad.
Having made a total of 90 appearances for Reading, the Royals’ manager Brian McDermott was full of praise for the midfielder earlier in the month.
“Ollie’s a great lad. He can score, he can pass, he can tackle. And he’s still only young. He’s got a lot in front of him. He’ll be looking forward to the Euros and will be going there in good form.”
