The Daily Mirror is reporting that boss Eddie Howe is looking to make a January loan move for Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe
Defoe has struggled for form this season and with new Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce favouring the line big man up front it appears that Defoe will have to look elsewhere to gain first team football.
Preferably Sunderland would like to sell Defoe, but would be willing to loan the striker out come January should a club offer enough of a percentage to help out with the reported £80,000 a week he is on at The Stadium Of Light.
Howe is looking for options to replace leading marksman Callum Wilson who will miss the rest of the season through injury, and Defoe is the type of player he would love to add should finances allow and if the right deal can be agreed with Sunderland.
The Bournemouth fans in The Transfer Tavern are hopeful an agreement can be reached for the striker who is no stranger to the club having spent a previous spell on loan earlier in his career.
