As Bournemouth prepare for another season in the Premier League under Eddie Howe, it’s becoming more obvious by the week just how much credit the manager and his staff deserve in keeping the Cherries in the top flight.
Granted, the last few seasons has seen them spend a bit more than normal, but for a club its size to be avoiding relegation and doing so in such a sound way, is testament to the set up running through the club from top to bottom.
This window has seen them bring in the guaranteed goals of Jermaine Defoe, and Howe will be confident the Cherries can push on even further next term.
The Bournemouth fans here in the Tavern have been enjoying some nice cool beers this week with our landlord, and he thinks that one other player who could add some quality to the ranks for Howe’s men is Sheffield Wednesday enforcer Sam Hutchinson.
The former Chelsea man is one of the standout performers for the Owls on a regular basis, and his tough tackling and all out commitment in the middle of the park are something to be admired.
Hutchinson could well be suited to the Premier League, and he would certainly be different to many other midfielders in the top flight, as well as no doubt being a bit cheaper than many foreign imports.
Wednesday will not want to lose their star man, but a move to the Premier League could be too tempting for him, and he would slot in perfectly on the south coast if given the chance.
