Everton have struggled to ensure consistency in recent times, which has had a negative affect on their push for a European spot as they now sit in eleventh position.
The Toffees will need to seek immediate improvements if they are to make anything of the current campaign, as they’ve looked less than convincing in the final third.
Marcel Brands could have a huge part to play in the remaining days of the January transfer window as the Merseyside club could still do with securing a couple of signings. Indeed, a striker and a defensive midfielder is what’s required this month, with Cenk Tosun failing to produce and a lack of quality cover at Silva’s disposal.
With that in mind, Brands must secure these TWO deals to bring European football to Goodison Park…
Amadou Diawara has made a name for himself over in Italy at current club Napoli over the past season or so, with countless world-class performances in the middle of midfield making him a hot talent at just 21 years of age.
His tackling and ability to intercept is what makes him such an effective players in the middle of the park, as the opposition find it almost impossible to get past him. And, he also links defence to attack very well, which would benefit the likes of Richarlison, Bernard and Theo Walcott, who thrive off quick build-up play.
He would work perfectly with the likes of Idrissa Gueye and Andre Gomes in the middle, giving them the licence to move forward and influence the game while he sits in front of the defence.
Luka Jovic has established himself as one of the rising stars in Europe this year after joining German side Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan from parent club Benfica. The Serbian international currently has 18 goals and four assists to his name in 22 appearances, including five goals in six games in the Europa League.
Cenk Tosun’s lack of potency at the pinnacle of the attack has been one of the main problems for the Toffees this season, as Richarlison has had to play out of position at the pinnacle of the attack.
So, securing the services of Jovic would provide Everton with a constant flow of goals, which would automatically boost their push for a European spot massively.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
