Arsenal are continuing to frustrate the Football Transfer Tavern with their summer business but allowing defender Andre Santos to join Flamengo is the correct decision, as reported by Sky Sports.
Santos failed to make much of an impact in North London after a move from Turkish club Fenerbahce which cost the Gunners £7 million.
The Brazilian left sided player didn’t endear himself to the North London club’s fans by swapping shirts with former Arsenal forward Robin van Persie at half time during a clash with Manchester United last term.
Santos spent the second half of last season on loan at fellow Brazilian club Gremio but decided to move to Flamengo permanently signing a bumper two-year contract with Arsenal taking a huge hit after allowing the 30-year-old to leave on a free transfer.
The Brazil international is hoping to fight his way back into the national team set up with a home World Cup coming up next summer.
