Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking pleased with the latest news from Metro as it is claimed that the club could well be set to land Montpellier star Younes Belhanda.
Andre Villas-Boas has long been a fan of the player who at only 23 years of age has already been subject of a bumper bid by the club yet now it seems that despite that being rejected in the summer, they are now able to land him for as little as £8 million.
That is news that AVB and all Spurs fans will be more than happy to hear and given that the player has talent which will only get better when nurtured in a better and more competitive league, it seems that even the player himself is excited over a potential move.
Montpellier owner Louis Nicollin admitted that the player would not be at the French club much longer and noted that: “The door is open for Younes to find a bigger club.
“I don’t know where he’ll go yet but he wants to leave. I want at least £8million for him.”
The player became one of the highest earners at Montpellier after they won the title in 2012 and now is keen to further his career with a move to a bigger and better club. Arsenal have previously been linked to the player yet it now seems that Spurs are the front runners.
