Everton will need to make improvements to their squad this summer and it would not be a surprise if Marco Silva tried to offload a number of individuals at the end of the campaign.
The Toffees have a rather large squad and could certainly do with reducing the numbers they have on their books. And, it appears one of their young defenders could be set for the Goodison Park exit after failing to make the grade.
What’s the News?
According to a report by the Liverpool Echo, Brandon Galloway is ‘likely’ to leave Everton in the summer.
The 23-year-old has failed to build on the 2015/16 season where he made a number of appearances and has since been relegated to loan spells away from the club, as well as being a part of the Under-23 squad.
Galloway appeared to be a really bright prospect for Everton at one point, however, he has seen his stock fall significantly and looks to be out of the reckoning for a place in Silva’s first-team in the near future.
Things seriously went downhill for the Zimbabwean during his loan spells at West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland, as he failed to make an impact with either them.
He appears to have got things back on track with the developmental side this season as he has helped David Unsworth’s team to a second Premier League 2 title in three years, which could make him an attractive proposition for a Football League club.
However, whether a team comes in for him in the summer remains to be seen, otherwise, Galloway could find himself frozen out at Everton next season.
Everton fans, are you disappointed with how things have turned out for Galloway? Are you surprised that he could be on his way out of the club in the summer? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
