Brendan Rodgers faces tough decision ahead of potential Celtic move

rodgers222Punters in the Football Transfer Tavern are putting themselves in Brendan Rodgers’ shoes as he has a difficult financial decision to make regarding the top job at Celtic.

According to the Daily Record, Rodgers is earning £5 million a year over the next couple of years from his pay off deal after being sacked by Liverpool, but if he takes the Celtic job, that income will stop.

People in the Tavern hope that Rodger’s isn’t tempted to stay out of football because of his pay off from Liverpool.

This leaves the board at Celtic under pressure to dig deep into their pockets and offer Rodgers everything they can to tempt him in to replace Ronny Deila.

Celtic are desperate to make the right appointment with Roy Keane, Neil Lennon, Malky Mackay, Davie Moyes, Steve Clarke and Mick McCarthy all in the running.

Our resident Celtic fans would love to see Rodgers in charge at the club, and hope a deal for the ex-Swansea City boss materialises!

Celtic fans. Would Brendan Rodgers be capable of managing Celtic after his tough time at Liverpool? Let us know your thoughts below!
