Brighton fans have responded on Twitter to news that attacker Florin Andone has departed the club on a season-long loan deal.
Galatasaray have paid an undisclosed fee for the loan and there is no mention of an option to buy. Albion also have the option to recall the attacker in January if they so wish.
Andone has been capped 26 times by his country and is set to join his international teammates this week ahead of their qualifiers versus Spain and Malta.
The striker was bought to the club from Deportivo La Coruna in July 2018. He went on to play 23 games last season in the league, scoring three times. He played in the first three of Brighton’s games, scoring one goal, before getting sent off versus Southampton for a horror challenge.
It’s a bit of a surprise departure for Brighton, considering that they have also let Jurgen Locadia leave the club in recent days, meaning that they are quite light on attacking options.
Many Brighton fans appear to be pretty perplexed by the departure, considering that the club lacking depth in the striking positions.
Here are some of the responses below…

Really do not understand this one. An injury to Murray or Maupay and we’re gonna be relying on an under 23 player who’s had about 15 minutes premier league experience.
