Bundesliga club ready to do business with Manchester United once again

According to The Daily Mail, Bayer Leverkusen are looking to sign another Manchester United player in Marcos Rojo in the near future.

It’s a familiar turn of events for our Red Devils fans here in the Transfer Tavern who have already seen Javier Hernandez switch Old Trafford for the Bundesliga club but, whilst they didn’t want the Mexican to leave, they’re not as fussed about the Argentine.

Rojo has been in and out of the side throughout his United career and is only getting a considerable run in the side thanks to injuries to usual centre backs Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling.

He has impressed in some games in recent weeks but he has equally put in some poor performances this season too and it is that sheer inconsistency that has led our United fans here in the Transfer Tavern to think that, ultimately, he isn’t good enough to represent their team.

Whether or not he moves to the German club remains to be seen but Jose Mourinho may feel he would like to sign some extra defenders before he lets Rojo go.

United go to Everton this weekend as they look to get their season going with our landlord thinking they should hold on to Rojo for now given their current lack of options.
