Bundesliga giants express interest in Manchester United midfielder

The Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern have split opinions on the recent performances of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Mkhitaryan’s recent dip in form has been criticised by Jose Mourinho, who has told the midfielder to improve his game after a string of under-fire displays.

And, according to BBC Sport, Borussia Dortmund are lurking and ready to bring Mkhitaryan back to Germany.

Borussia Dortmund previously sold Shinji Kagawa to Manchester United only to bring him back a couple of years later and now they want to do the same with Mkhitaryan.

The 28-year-old was been left out in the cold on more than one occasion by Jose Mourinho, who clearly stated his discontent with his recent performances.

Mourinho said: “I was not happy with his last performances.

“It’s not one or two, I am talking about three, four or five.

“He started well this season but his performance levels, goal scoring, assists, high pressing, bringing the team with him as number 10, were decreasing step by step.”

This is likely to spark the interest of Borussia Dortmund.

The Bundesliga outfit have reportedly expressed an interest in bringing the Armenian international back to the club and they could get their wish if he continues to fail to impress Mourinho.
