According to the The Telegraph, Saints goalkeeper Artur Boruc is an unlikely target for German champions Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga giants are looking at a whole host of goalkeepers as they look for an understudy to German international Manuel Neuer.
And according to reports, Southampton stopper Artur Boruc has made the shortlist with discreet inquiries being made as to whether he is prepared to play second fiddle at the Allianz Arena.
It is not the first time that Bayern Munich have had an interest in the Polish goalkeeper having targeted him during a successful spell with Scottish giants Celtic.
Boruc currently has a year still to run on his Southampton contract but the 34-year-old faces the prospect of losing his starting place in Ronald Koeman’s eleven.
That is because the Dutchman is in talks with Celtic in regards to England international Fraser Forster.
If that moves comes off it could be down to what bench Boruc prefers to sit on come the start of the season.
Southampton fans. What a peculiar transfer rumour. Should Boruc be your number one or should he be allowed to move to Bayern Munich? Let us know your thoughts below.
