Bundesliga outfit submit bid for long-term Arsenal target

Alvaro MorataFans in the Football Transfer Tavern haven’t seen a bad game yet this World Cup bet let’s not forget the domestic leagues.

Arsenal could be set to miss out on Spanish starlet Alvaro Morata after German outfit Wolfsburg submitted a bid for the Real Madrid forward.

According to The Independent, a bid of £15.9 million has been offered to Real as they look to the 21-year-old to Germany.

Morata scored eight goals in La Liga last season and has been allowed to leave the Bernabeu this summer in search of regular first team action.

Trying to break into a team equipped with such talent as Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale is unsurprisingly tough meaning it was no surprise to see him earn just three starts last campaign.

Arsene Wenger had been keen on bringing the youngster to the Emirates Stadium but it looks like he will now have a fight on his hands.

And that’s not just from Germany as Italian club Juventus have also enquired about the talented youngster.

But the decision could still come down to Arsenal versus Juventus with both clubs able to offer Champions League football – something Wolfsburg can’t.

Arsenal fans. You have been linked with Morata for a long time now but is he the man you need to support Olivier Giroud? Let us know your thoughts below.
