The Mirror is claiming that Bayern Munich star Xherdan Shaqiri would be interested in joining Manchester United or Liverpool in the summer.
The 22-year-old has been rumoured to be targeted by both Premier League sides after struggling for first team football at the Allianz Arena with the European champions.
Now his brother Erdin has admitted that after just 18 appearances for club and country, the Swiss international could be ready to move on again, if the right offer is on the table.
He told Swiss newspaper Blick: “Xherdan is 22. At this age, he needs to be playing regularly, which is not currently the case.
“We are waiting now until summer. Then, when clubs make approaches such as Liverpool, Manchester United, Inter Milan and other top clubs, we can listen to their offers.
“That said, Bayern still remains our first point of contact before we talk to other clubs.”
Shaqiri moved to Bayern from FC Basel in July 2012 and had a good first season with the Bundesliga club but Pep Guardiola could be prepared to let him leave for around £17.5 million in the summer.
A failure to secure Champions League by United could leave the way open for Liverpool to land the exciting winger, who is contracted until 2016.
We think that Munich man could be heading to the Premier League but what do you think? Let us know your thoughts below.
