The Burnley fans in the Transfer Tavern are bracing themselves for the exit of their star man.
Michael Keane’s performances this season have had the Burnley fans singing his name in the Transfer Tavern but they know that he might not be there next season.
The Premier League heavyweights are circling Keane, all ready to pounce and prise him away from Turf Moor.
Manchester United, Manchester City, Everton, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been credited with an interest in the England international after a very impressive season helping Burnley stay afloat in the top flight.
The 24-year-old is widely expected to leave Burnley in the summer as he looks to take the next step in his career.
However, Sean Dyche is holding firm on his stance that Michael Keane will only be sold if the price is right, according to a report by The Burnley Express.
“Absolutely, we’re in a great position, if that came around.
“We’re in a stronger position now.
“That’s where the club has changed.
“It would have to be appropriate for all parties, and all parties are in the loop.
“There’s no story, when everyone reads it, they’ll all say ‘that’s exactly what we’ve been told.’
“I’m open and honest with the players.”
Dyche further added that he would be happy for Keane to stay next season and run down his contract.
The former Manchester United defender’s deal only runs until summer 2018 and Dyche is prepared to let him leave for free if he does not receive a good enough offer.
