West Bromwich Albion were dominant in Saturday’s Championship fixture against Rotherham United, as they secured an emphatic 4-0 win at the New York Stadium.
The Baggies currently find themselves in a promising position in the race for automatic promotion to the Premier League, with the pressure firmly on Leeds United and Norwich City to keep on grinding out positive results.
However, the Midlands club received some slightly worrying news recently on the transfer front, as according to The Sun on Sunday (23/12; page 61) (via HITC), Burnley are looking to raise funds to sign Jay Rodriguez.
Interestingly, Burnley are apparently open to considering offers for Ashley Barnes or Sam Vokes as they look to fund a move for West Brom striker Jay Rodriguez.
Rodriguez has been very impressive in the current campaign having scored 10 goals in the Championship for Darren Moore’s men to help put them right in the promotion race.
However, it remains to be seen as to whether Rodriguez would be interested in a move back to Turf Moor.
Jay Rodriguez has shown that he can guarantee a consistent flow of goals in the current campaign, so the last thing the Baggies would want is to wave goodbye to the attacker.
The 29-year-old started his career at Burnley, so he may be open to a return in the Premier League.
