Premier League club Burnley are set to officially confirm the signing of Leeds United left-back Charlie Taylor, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post.
Taylor’s fee will be dictated by a tribunal as he is under the age of 24 and in leaving Elland Road he ends a 14-year association with the Sky Bet Championship outfit.
Burnley appear to have stolen in ahead of Premier League rivals West Bromwich Albion to secure the highly-rated player and his signing looks to be a shrewd piece of business by boss Sean Dyche.
The Clarets did well to survive in the Premier League last season and they will be hoping to progress during the 2017/18 campaign.
The Burnley faithful here in the Football Transfer Tavern are delighted with this news and one in particular is going to the bar to get a round in for himself and his pals.
Our landlord is equally intrigued by this news and he thinks that Taylor could really thrive playing for a Premier League team that will give him the chance to play every week.
The transfer is expected to be announced imminently now that Taylor’s Leeds contract has officially expired.
Leeds fans, will Taylor be a big loss? Let us know in the comments below!!!
