Burnley continue to impress this season under Sean Dyche as the Clarets look to cement a solid mid-table finish, and ground out an excellent 1-1 draw with Manchester City last weekend.
Under Dyche, the Lancashire club have become one of the toughest teams to get three points from in the Premier League, and their manager will be hoping they can keep their current form going and not allow their season to peeter out into nothing come May.
However, with January just gone, our punters and landlord here in the Tavern think the Clarets need to add some more new players in the summer to maintain their momentum, and one such man who has been seriously impressive during a loan spell this term is Aston Villa man Robert Snodgrass.
The on loan West Ham winger was frozen out at the London Stadium, but has excelled as his form has propelled Villa to well within a shot at winning automatic promotion this term.
Snodgrass is easily good enough for the top flight and he has shown previously in spells with Hull and Norwich that he can indeed perform at the highest level. With Burnley a team who possess great height and threats from set-plays, Snodgrass’s delivery from set pieces could be vital.
Dyche loves to pick up a bargain, and despite the fact Villa will be going all out this summer to capture Snodgrass, we think Burnley could steal a march on Steve Bruce’s men and snap up the Scotland international.
