The Burnley fans in the Transfer Tavern are in high spirits and are looking forward to their European tour that is fast approaching, having earned the right to be there after a tremendous season in the Premier League.
Sean Dyche has without a doubt been one of the best managers this season and his outstanding work, combined with the players’, ensured that the Clarets would be playing in the Europa League next season. If his Burnley side want to cope with the extra games as well as the tiring Premier league season, they should try and do all the can to bring back Andre Gray, who is valued at £13.5 million by Transfer Markt.
The 26-year-old sharp-shooter moved to Watford at the start of the campaign in the hope of taking his game to the next level, when actually the forward damaged his potential and has since gone backwards. After scoring 5 goals in 31 appearances in the Premier League this season, Gray would be regretting his decision to leave European-bound Burnley.
The Englishman is still very much liked around Turf Moor and if Burnley are planning to sustain their strong performances on the pitch, improving their front-line is certainly not a bad thing to do. Gray has immense pace to beat defenders and has a very good eye for goal, two traits alone that Burnley would fondly recollect.
Burnley have without a doubt been this season’s surprise package and if they want to keep up their good work from the 2017/18 season, additions to the squad should be made to increase those chances, starting with the reunion of Andre Gray.
He’s proven at the club, and so he’d surely be able to deliver what they need.
