The Burnley fans in the Transfer Tavern are already preparing for their European trips next season after this season’s brilliant performances have earned them the right to challenge themselves against some of Europe’s elite teams.
At the start of the season, most would have laughed if you said Burnley were to finish in the European places and to be honest, Sean Dyche and his team would have had troubles believing it as well.
With no stand-out, big-name players, the Clarets have utilised every person within their team to work hard for each other and fight for the badge, something that other teams in the Premier League would love to see in their own team.
With European matches not far away, Burnley need to best prepare their team for the almighty challenge ahead and one player who could improve their team would be German winger Leonardo Bittencourt, who is valued at £5.40 million on Transfermarkt. The 24-year-old desperately wants away from his relegated club Koln and a challenge in England could be desirable for the German.
Having played in 27 games so far this season, Bittencourt has scored 6 times and also come up with 5 assists. Figures like that would be good as well for a team like Burnley in their bid to impress in the Europa League.
Burnley are the most improved side in the Premier League this year and Sean Dyche has done a terrific job in reviving their fortunes from relegation battlers to European dreamers. A signing such as Leonardo Bittencourt would only add to the teams quality as they look to sustain their league status again next year.
