Chelsea fans here in the Tavern are rolling back the years as they relive a former Dutchman’s best days at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues haven’t had much to shout about this season after failing to defend their Premier League title.
Although, when taking a look back through some of the Chelsea archives, there’s one particular player that always managed to put a smile on fans faces at the Bridge.
Blues legend Arjen Robben is statistically the most successful Premier League player ever to grace the top-flight, after featuring in 55 wins over the course of 67 games for Chelsea. After producing 15 goals and 16 assists during his time with the Blues, the 34-year-old secured a place in the Blues’ folklore as a player that they’d welcome back to the club without an ounce of doubt in their minds.
For a player they’re still yet to properly replace in the English capital, the legacy of the winger will long live on at Stamford Bridge.
Indeed, it would be impossible for the club to forget about the Dutchman. To that end, Chelsea’s Twitter account took to notifying fans of a blast from the past with Robben’s 34th birthday, as they wished him all the best.

Following the club’s post, fans were quick to relive the Dutch internationals finest moments in the blue shirt, as they wished they could have kept hold of the midfielder for a while longer.
Nevertheless, here’s a look at exactly the sort of reaction supporters gave off on social media…
