Bye £18.5m star.. Spurs lining up move to secure transfer deal for £8.5m-rated striker

The Tottenham supporters here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are in a very good mood after the club secured yet another victory at White Hart Lane on the weekend.

The north London outfit obliterated Walter Mazzarri’s Watford 4-0 on Saturday lunchtime, taking apart the Hornets with ease.

The club are still seven points adrift of Antonio Conte’s high-flying Chelsea, who currently sit at the summit of the Premier League table.

Pochettino decided to give a surprise start to Dutch international Vincent Janssen on Saturday in the absence of Harry Kane, in a move which surprised a handful of Spurs fans here in the pub.

It has been a campaign to forget for the 22-year-old forward, who has seemingly struggled to adapt to the demands and rigours of the Premier League, after his £18.5m move to Spurs from AZ Alkmaar in the summer.

And, the latest line coming in from the Mirror is suggesting that Levy will attempt to sell Janssen in an attempt to seal a deal for £8.5m-rated Burnley striker Andre Gray.

The former Luton Town striker has been very impressive in his debut season in the top-flight, and it seems that Spurs would like to sign the 25-year-old and utilise him as an understudy to Harry Kane.

Spurs fans…. Is Gray good enough? Let us know below!
