Leicester City were hugely disappointing yesterday against Cardiff City as they conceded a last minute goal to lose 1-0 at the King Power Stadium.
The Foxes have been rather impressive in recent times, despite yesterday’s results, so they’ll still feel like they can push for a European place. Although, it looks as if they’re set to wave goodbye to an impressive player, as according to The East Anglian Daily Times, Callum Elder is set to join Ipswich Town.
Interestingly, Leicester City left-back Callum Elder is training with Ipswich Town with view to completing a loan move when the January transfer window opens.
He’s a very experienced customer when it comes to loan spells in the Football League, having had temporary spells at Mansfield (League Two), Peterborough (League One), Brentford (Championship) and Barnsley (Championship), then spent last season on loan at Wigan where he made 33 appearances for the League One champions.
Indeed, the 23-year-old is a very impressive player who has the potential and ability to work his way into the first-team ranks at Leicester City if he enjoys a successful time of things at Portman Road.
Callum Elder could do a solid job in the Championship for Ipswich Town, with a solid loan spell possibly launching him into Claude Puel’s plans.
Indeed, with Ben Chilwell being linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium, perhaps Elder could be seen as a direct replacement.
