Tottenham Hotspur could be about to see one of their international defenders leave the club on a temporary deal.
The 20-year-old is not thought to be apart of Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team plans for the current Premier League season after he managed to keep his squad altogether this summer.
However, the America international is thought to be highly-rated and the manager is keen for him to continue his development with the Swans, where he could get a fair amount of game time, considering Swansea are threadbare at the back.
It would not be the first time that Carter-Vickers has spent time in the Championship after he was on loan at Ipswich Town last year, as well as a spell with Sheffield United.
The move should help to benefit the American as he looks to continue to impress Pochettino with his performances.
It is understood that the 20-year-old had been hoping to catch his manager’s eye in pre-season, however, with the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth all thought to be in front of him, it would be difficult to break through.
Swansea are expected to challenge for promotion back to the Premier League, and with their own defensive issues, he could play a key role for them and he will be looking to take full advantage of the move to Wales.
