‘Can see us getting at least a point’, ‘Just need Hazard not to travel now’ – Everton fans celebrate as Chelsea suffer huge blow ahead of clash

The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are feeling rather positive at the moment. Their season was going very poorly, with Ronald Koeman eventually losing his job after a very poor spell at the helm, but things have turned around following the arrival of Sam Allardyce.

Big Sam, as he is affectionately known, has taken things back to basics at Goodison Park, and they’ve enjoyed a solid run of form as a result. However, they face a rather significant test this weekend, with a tough game against Chelsea on the cards.

The Blues, like the Toffees, have generally looked pretty good over the last month or so, and thus it’s sure to be a tough game when they face off on Saturday.

Fortunately, ahead of the game, Everton have received a very big boost. Owing to a yellow card in Chelsea’s Carabao Cup win over Bournemouth, Alvaro Morata is set to miss the game through injury, leaving Chelsea short of options in the attack.

Though Chelsea do have a number of talented players, Morata’s suspension is massive for Everton, given that the Spaniard has been lethal so far this season.

Unsurprisingly, the Toffees over on Twitter haven’t been very sympathetic towards the Chelsea forward, with most instead celebrating the news. It’s clearly good news for Everton, and the Goodison Park faithful now feel rather confident ahead of the game.
