Real Madrid teen sensation Jese Rodriguez Ruiz is said to be drawing interest from Manchester United. The Mail reports that the Spanish youngster has been watched on a number of occasions this season by United scout and Sir Alex Ferguson’s brother Martin Ferguson.
Ruiz, who currently plays for Real Madrid’s B side, Castilla has caught the eye with a string of outstanding performances and is said to be the best of the clubs young home grown Spanish talent.
Ruiz, 19, has already been compared to none other than Cristiano Ronaldo due to his ability to attack from wide positions and has been nicknamed the ‘Cristiano of Valdebebas’ (The name of Madrid’s academy and training ground)because of the similarities in their playing style.
As of yet Ruiz has only to made one substitute appearance for Los Blancos, coming in the Copa Del Rey victory at Ponferradina in December. The youngster has made it clear that he would prefer to stay at Real and force his way into first team contention but as of yet this has not happened. The vast amounts of attacking talent on offer at the Bernabeu has not made this easy and with the player’s contract up at the end of next season many clubs have sent scouts to monitor his progress.
Jose Mourinho did take Ruiz with the first team on their preseason tour last season but as of yet he has still only made that lone first team appearance. It seems as if Fergie has sensed that the opportunity to poach the talented Ruiz from his current employers has arrived and he may very well try and lure him to the north of England. With Ruiz fitting in perfectly with Fergie’s recent policy of recruiting the best young talent the chance to move to United may be too good to turn down.
