Cardiff City remain winless in the Premier League after losing to Spurs at Wembley this weekend.
The pressure will no doubt start to build now on manager Neil Warnock, who despite working miracles, will know it is a results business, and will be desperated to see his Bluebirds get that first Premier League win of the campaign.
However, to do so, they need to start scoring goals, and fast. With January approaching, we think Warnock simply has to spend, and there are some options out there he could pursue.
One man we think would be a superb addition for Warnockif is West Brom striker Jay Rodriguez.
The £10.8m-rated forward has got off to a blistering start to the season for high flying West Brom, firing in seven goals already for Darren Moore’s men as they sit second in the Championship.
Rodriguez is a proven Premier League player, and is someone who would no doubt relish the relegation scrap and slot straight into the first XI, rather than needing a settling in period of sorts.
The former Southampton man was once regarded as one of the top talents in the country, and there is little doubting that he has the ability to go on and have an excellent career in the top flight.
Cardiff simply have to start firing goals in, and they should strike while the iron is hot so to speak to snap up the talent of Rodriguez.
