David Moyes has been out of a job since the summer when he left West Ham after guiding them to safety with a 13th placed finish last season. Now, though, the Scotsman seems to be eyeing up his next job and according to The Daily Record, the former Manchester United and Everton man would be keen to return to his native Glasgow to take charge at either Parkhead or Ibrox.

It seems that Moyes has come up at the wrong time. Steven Gerrard has made a strong start to his life at Ibrox and with Brendan Rodgers contracting at Parkhead until 2021 it looks like Moyes will be waiting a long time before he gets the opportunity to take on either Celtic or Rangers as the gaffer. However, that hasn’t stopped the Hoops tearing into Moyes for his ridiculous claims about wanting to manage one of the Old Firm sides.
David Moyes has only really had success at Everton and West Ham. The Scottish gaffer did well to turn Everton into a side that have been comfortably in the Premier League and has had a few seasons in Europe, despite the fact they were in and around the relegation zone when he took over. Then at West Ham, he came in and saved them from the drop again, so it seems the 55-year-old is much better at saving teams than he is winning silverware with them, making the likes of Rangers and Celtic a strange choice of clubs for him to want to coach.

Well you just talked yourself out the Celtic job because id NEVER want a manager to manage Celtic who would manage them. Esp if he played for us against them in a time when they wouldn't sign you if you were a catholic!

The Celtic fans would do anything to keep Moyes away from the Parkhead job, however, they’d happily see him in the dugout at Ibrox in the future.
