Fulham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been dealt yet another transfer worry ahead of the 2016/17 season, as The Sun have reported that 20-year-old, Emerson Hyndman, has caught interest from some of Europe’s elite with Celtic, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund all monitoring the youngster’s progress.
Hyndman has worked his way up to the United States’ senior squad after impressing at u17, u20 and u23 level and would be interested in a move away from Craven Cottage in the summer.
He will be allowed to leave on a free transfer after failing to negotiate an extension with the Cottagers for the coming season.
The midfielder made his full debut for Fulham in August, 2014 after joining the academy at 15-years-of-age in 2011.
Since then, he has made 24 appearances and scored once, but despite the modest numbers, there is a growing appraisal for Hyndman who has been tipped for the United States’ World Cup 2018 squad.
Our landlord has been down to the Cottage numerous times this season to watch Fulham in the Sky Bet Championship, and admits he’s been impressed with Hyndman when he’s seen him play for the London outfit.
Our resident Cottagers are disappointed to see the US star leave the club on a free transfer, with them all agreeing that the player has a crazy amount of potential!
