Celtic are once again flying high at the top of the Scottish Premier League and look on course to repeat their success of last season domestically.
A midweek win in Europe too was also a boost for the Bhoys, and they will be looking to romp to the SPL title once again under Brendan Rodgers.
Our landlord here in the Tavern has been impressed with how Celtic have gone about their business in the last two years, and he thinks that they are getting closer to closing the gap on some of the teams in the Champions League. However, he thinks a couple of new signings wouldn’t go amiss, and one player he thinks could do a job is Man City man Fabian Delph.
The England international has recently come back into prominence after impressive Pep Guardiola and scored a stunning goal last weekend as City routed Crystal Palace.
During his time with Aston Villa he was a quality Premier League midfielder, and while he might get some minutes at City, a move to Celtic could well give his career the ideal boost. Delph would be wise to look to the likes of Scott Sinclair, who has flourished since moving to Glasgow.
Brendan Rodgers is always on the lookout for Premier League players, and Delph could well fit the mould perfectly for him.
