Celtic should consider bolstering attack with move for young Chelsea striker

It has been a season to remember for those of a Celtic persuasion here in the Football Transfer Tavern and they are on course to finish the 2016/17 campaign unbeaten in the league, following a fine maiden season for boss Brendan Rodgers.

The Hoops will undoubtedly look to conquer the Champions League next time around after an unfulfilling group stage saw them finish bottom of the pile in a group which also included Manchester City.

The fans here in the Tavern are hopeful that the club can secure a couple of quality signings during the summer months in order to give the club the very best chance of performing domestically and on the continent next season.

One man who could be a decent looking signing for Celtic in the summer is Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham who has returned to the Blues following a loan spell in the Championship with Bristol City.

Abraham was in prolific form at Ashton Gate firing in 23 league goals during his breakthrough season and another move away from Stamford Bridge looks very likely for next season.

The pull of playing Champions League football would naturally be a major pull for Abraham when considering a move to Scotland and boss Rodgers would get himself a superb striker if he considers a deal.

A couple of ardent Celtic fans are putting some money in the jukebox and enjoying 4-for-£10 on the landlord’s bottled lager and they are in agreement that the Chelsea youngster would be a great signing if the club’s boss can pull off a deal.

Celtic fans, would you welcome Abraham to the club? Let us know in the comments below!!!
