The arrival of Marco Silva has not been followed by an influx of new talent at Goodison Park, but recent reports from Turkey suggest that he could be in the market for a new winger as Yannick Bolasie lines up a move to Fenebahce.

According to a recent report from Turkish media outlet Fanatik, it's only a matter of time before Bolasie joins Fenebahce this summer on a season-long loan deal. The transfer of Bolasie will be met with some disappointment from Everton supporters who admire his direct style of dribbling and ability to both cut-inside and run to the byline, but a huge injury problem has rather stagnated his career since he signed for the club.

Bolasie joined Everton from Crystal Palace in a deal which cost a whopping £26 million in August 2016,  but the cruciate ligament injury he sustained midway through his debut season has completely interrupted his development.

And recent reports now suggest that Marco Silva is happy to send Bolasie out on loan next season in an effort to help the Congo international rediscover his best form.

With that to consider, Brendan Rodgers would be wise to make a last-minute bid to sign Bolasie on loan for Celtic this summer as he possesses a level of flair which would strike fear into SPFL defenders next season.

From the left-side of midfield Bolasie possesses the ominous ability to use a combination of speed, strength and quick-feet to bypass his opponents.

There's no doubt that his end-product has never quite lived up to the promise which his build-up play so consistently shows, but the manner in which he pulls defenders out of position with his dribbling technique would give Rodgers a valuable weapon to deploy next season.

There is, of course, the small problem that Rodgers used to sit in the hot-seat across Stanley Park at Liverpool, but the Toffees would surely be willing to put history to one side in order to help Bolasie make the best possible decision for his future.

Whilst no deal is yet set in stone there is still every chance that Celtic could pip Fenebahce to Bolasie's signature, so the Hoops must do everything in their power to secure an audacious loan deal in the coming days.
