Champions League side interested in taking Crystal Palace striker across Europe

Crystal Palace fans in the Transfer Tavern will be hoping to see their side perform better this season following their difficult campaign last year.

The Eagles spent much of the year towards the bottom of the table and had been fighting against the prospect of playing Championship football for the majority of the season.

The appointment of Roy Hodgson, as well as the performances of Wilfried Zaha and Patrick van Aanholt, helped their cause as well as some of the additions in the January transfer window.

However, it appears one of those winter signings could be heading out of Selhurst Park already this summer, with reports in Turkey suggesting that Alexander Sorloth could be on the move.

According to Sporx, Galatasaray are rumoured to be interested in bringing the Norwegian to Istanbul on a season-long loan as they look to offer the attacker regular first-team football.

Landlord’s Verdict

It would seem strange that Sorloth could already be set to leave the Eagles, having only joined them in January, however, he has hardly been used by Hodgson.

The 22-year-old signed for a fee believed to be around £9million but found it difficult to break into the first-team, making just 4 appearances for Palace.

The Crystal Palace fans in the Tavern would be disappointed to see him leave, especially with just Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham as their only other recognised strikers, but it remains to be seen if whether the Scandinavian attacker has a future in South-East London.
